Harkila Stornoway 2.0 Waterproof Tweed Jacket

On the moors you need technology that works, tradition and old ideas only get you so far, so it's great to find a synthesis of Great British tweed, with a hundred and fifty years heritage, and waterproof breathable technology that's bang up to date.

Designed as a high performance shooting jacket with all the style of a fine tweed, this top of the range shooting tweed from Harkila offers distinctive quality and full protection from the weather.

This is the latest version of the Harkila tweed range, building on the highly successful Torridon series, designed to be more suited to the British climate and in tune with a traditional aesthetic.

The fine quality 100% wool tweed in distinctive, understated Terragon Brown is sourced from Mallalieus of Delph, independent, family owned traditional textile manufacturers since 1863.

The innovative Harkila Weather System (HWS) membrane is the technology behind the Stornoway that keeps you dry in the roughest weather. The waterproof, windproof, breathable and lightweight membrane is tailored to the needs of the active wearer, allowing you to stay dry and comfortable during demanding activity in harsh conditions by wicking away perspiration vapour.

Cut in a roomy classic fit for free movement.

Robust two way zip beneath front storm placket.

Six pockets in total. 2 Handwarmer pockets with quick load straps. Large, cartridge storage front hip pockets with flap coverage (use with retaining straps) and drain holes. Zipped mobile pocket beneath storm placket is secure but easily accessible. Zipped inner pocket.

Adjusting drawcord in waist and bottom hem. Adjusting cuffs.

Very much the classic tweed shooting jacket, the Stornoway 2.0 offers a high technical specification and a discernible air of quality that's a perfect match for the British countryside.

The Harkila Weather System HWS® - How it Works
Using hydrophilic membranes to draw moisture out, the membrane rapidly absorbs and removes perspiration, distributing it over the surface, where it rapidly evaporates and stabilises the temperature inside the garment. At the same time, the holes in the membrane are so small that they prevent water molecules from entering from outside. This is an innovative technology in a robust construction that both enhances adaptability and protects the shooter from the elements.
